Glender Circle
Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
Glender Circle (“the Circle,” “we,” “us”) is the official direct-to-fan platform of Glender, operated by ASMAR Records. Our website address is https://circle.glenderdj.com. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at info@circle.glenderdj.com.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to operate your membership and deliver the platform experience:
- Account data — email address, display name, and any optional profile fields you choose to provide.
- Membership & payment data — subscription plan, payment history, and billing country. Full payment details (card numbers, bank accounts) are processed entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- Usage data — tracks played, play duration, favorites saved, and downloads. This helps us understand what content resonates and improve the Circle experience.
- Technical data — IP address (pseudonymized when possible), browser type, and device type. These are used for security, analytics, and content delivery.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to:
- Provide and maintain your membership account.
- Process subscriptions, payments, and digital purchases.
- Grant you access to content according to your membership level.
- Send transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, renewal reminders).
- Send marketing communications only when you have explicitly opted in.
- Analyze listening patterns to improve the platform.
- Ensure platform security and prevent abuse.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or third-party data brokers. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling beyond content access management.
4. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. When you subscribe or make a purchase, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe. We never have access to your full card number or bank account details. Stripe’s privacy policy is available at https://stripe.com/privacy.
5. Email Communications
We use a third-party email delivery service to send transactional and marketing emails. Transactional emails (account creation, payment receipts, subscription changes) are necessary for the operation of your membership. Marketing emails are only sent if you have provided explicit consent during registration. You may withdraw consent at any time from your profile settings or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
6. Cookies
We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the platform:
- Session cookie — identifies your logged-in session. Expires when you close your browser.
- Login cookie — remembers your login for up to 14 days when you select “Remember Me.”
- Preference cookies — store your language choice and player settings.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We use privacy-first analytics (Plausible or Umami) that do not rely on cookies or collect personal data.
7. Embedded Content
Content on the Circle may include embedded audio players, video content, or links to external platforms (YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify). Embedded content from external websites behaves as if you visited that website directly. These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external services you interact with.
8. Who We Share Your Data With
We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Email delivery service — transactional and marketing email delivery.
- Hosting provider — server infrastructure and content delivery.
- Audio storage provider — secure media delivery.
All providers are bound by data processing agreements. If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email as a security measure.
9. How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active:
- Active accounts — all profile, membership, and purchase data is retained.
- Cancelled accounts — core account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation, allowing you to reactivate your membership. Purchase history and associated download entitlements are retained indefinitely so you retain access to content you have purchased.
- Deleted accounts — upon your request, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Financial records required by tax and accounting regulations are retained for the legally mandated period (up to 10 years under Portuguese law).
- Usage analytics — play events are pseudonymized after 12 months and aggregated after 24 months.
10. Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format and transfer it to another service.
- Objection — object to processing of your data for marketing purposes.
- Restriction — request restricted processing of your data under certain circumstances.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw previously given consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@circle.glenderdj.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure server infrastructure, access controls, and regular security reviews. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours, as required by law.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Glender Circle is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. International Data Transfers
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. Some of our service providers (Stripe, email delivery) may process data in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures, in compliance with GDPR requirements.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Circle after changes constitute acceptance of the updated policy. This policy was last updated on 10 July 2026.
